Natural wild rice mix

Two rice varieties that could hardly be more different: unpeeled Italian natural rice and black wild rice from the Canadian north – botanically not rice, but a water grass that has been harvested by indigenous peoples for centuries. Viani brings both to market as a carefully composed mix of high-quality individual ingredients.

The natural rice remains firm to the bite with a nutty flavor, the wild rice provides a slightly smoky, earthy note and pleasant texture. 30 minutes on low heat is enough. The result pairs with roasted pumpkin with feta, fried mushrooms, or as a side dish for lamb chops — a full-bodied Pinot Gris from the Palatinate goes well with this.
