Moulin de Duhart Pauillac

Moulin de Duhart is the second wine of Château Duhart-Milon, the only Rothschild estate in Pauillac on the left bank of the Médoc. It showcases what makes this appellation special – without the long waiting times of its more famous sibling.

Duhart-Milon lies in the heart of Pauillac, on the same plateau as Lafite Rothschild. The Rothschild family acquired the estate in 1962 and has consistently focused on quality ever since. Moulin de Duhart is vinified from younger vines and selected parcels – Cabernet Sauvignon dominates, complemented by Merlot.

In the glass: deep ruby ​​red with violet reflections. On the nose, sour cherry and pomegranate, along with a hint of graphite and dark chocolate. On the palate, a dense, opulent attack, medium to firm tannins, well-integrated oak with hints of praline and cedar. The finish is long, with fresh acidity that provides structure.

Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Drinking window: now until 2030. Pairs well with herb-crusted lamb loin , braised beef shank, or aged Cheddar.
