Meursault Premier Cru Charmes AC Premier Cru 0.75L

Meursault Premier Cru Charmes is one of the most coveted white Burgundies of all — a site known for its fullness and velvety texture, and a Négociant that has been one of the most reliable interpreters of the Côte de Beaune since 1880.

Joseph Drouhin has been working with winemakers from the best sites of the Côte d'Or for generations and is known for a style that combines precision and depth without falling into heaviness. The Les Charmes site is located in the heart of Meursault, on limestone soils that give the Chardonnay an unmistakable minerality.

In the glass, it shows ripe white pear, candied lemon peel, and a hint of toasted almonds. The acidity is present but embedded in a creamy, almost oily texture — typical for Meursault. The finish is long, with a fine salty note that keeps the wine lively despite its fullness.

Serve it at 12–13 °C with lobster in Beurre blanc, scallops in saffron sauce, or a mature Époisses. If you don't have fish on hand: a roast chicken with tarragon cream sauce is a classic, underrated combination.
