Meursault AC 0.75L
Meursault is arguably the most famous white wine appellation of the Côte de Beaune — and Maison Joseph Drouhin has been one of the most reliable addresses for it since 1880. The négociant house from Beaune works closely with winegrowing families in the region and stands for a classic Burgundian style: expressive, but never overloaded.
In the glass, the Meursault shows a golden color and an aroma profile that sums up the appellation well: honey, linden blossoms, and hazelnut butter form the basic framework, supplemented by floral notes of chamomile and hawthorn. On the palate, the wine appears silky and structured — the connection between fullness and freshness typical for Meursault, without one side dominating the other. The finish is persistent, with a slightly nutty aftertaste.
It is best served at 12–13 °C — cold enough to preserve the freshness, warm enough for the aroma profile to unfold. Classic companions: lobster bisque, scallops with saffron sauce, sole fillet, or a mature Comté. For those who like it vegetarian: asparagus with hollandaise sauce also goes very well with the wine.
