Mar de Frades Albarino Brut Nature

Mar de Frades Albarino Brut Nature
A sparkling wine made from Albariño — that is not a matter of course, but for Mar de Frades from the Rías Baixas it makes sense: the grape variety naturally brings this salty tension and citrus line that give a Brut Nature the necessary structure.
Mar de Frades works in the heart of the Rías Baixas, an Atlantic-influenced coastal region in northwestern Spain. The winery is deeply rooted in Albariño and has specialized in the aromatic precision of this grape variety. The Brut Nature classification means: no dosage, no residual sweetness — the wine stands solely on its fruit and acidity.
In the glass, it shows green apple, white peach and citrus zest, plus floral notes and a fine salty sea breeze, which is typical for Atlantic Albariño sites. On the palate, precise perlage, mineral depth and a lively acid structure without sharpness. The finish brings toasted almonds, a hint of brioche and sea salt — long and clear.
Pairs with seafood, pulpo a la gallega, grilled sea bass or oysters. Drinking temperature: 6–8 °C. Also a good choice as an elegant aperitif.
