Magari Bolgheri DOC 1.5L

The Magari from Ca'Marcanda is a juicy, clearly defined red wine from Bolgheri that brings together density and suppleness. Here you get it as a magnum (1.5 l), suitable for larger dinner parties.

Ca'Marcanda is located in Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast. The Magari is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot; the grape varieties were vinified separately. The 2020 vintage had a mild winter, cool phases in the spring and a warm, balanced summer without extreme heat. The grapes ripened slowly and evenly, and the harvest began at the beginning of September with healthy, fully ripe fruit. Twelve months of aging in wood give the wine structure.

Deep ruby red with violet reflections shines in the glass. On the nose, blackcurrant, marasca cherry and blackberry appear, plus Mediterranean herbs and dark spices. On the palate, it feels dry, dense and at the same time supple, with fine-grained, silky tannins and a long, aromatic finish.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 18 °C with rack of lamb with rosemary, braised beef or aged Pecorino. It is best to bring the magnum bottle to the table for a meal with friends or family.
