KWV Winemakers Collection Chardonnay

KWV Winemakers Collection Chardonnay
A South African Chardonnay that shows what the Cape can do with the great Burgundy grape – accessible, clearly structured, and with a ripe fruit character.
KWV is one of the oldest and most well-known wineries in South Africa, founded in 1918 in Paarl. The Winemakers Collection is the artisanal heart of the range: wines that bring the quality of individual sites and grape varieties straight into the bottle, without any frills.
In the glass, the Chardonnay shows aromas of yellow peach, butter melon, and a hint of vanilla – a sign of moderate use of oak. The acidity is softly integrated, the body medium-weight with a creamy texture on the palate. The finish lingers with ripe citrus notes.
Serving suggestion: Serve well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs with grilled chicken, a creamy risotto, veal medallions with lemon sauce, or a ripe Brie. Also suitable as an uncomplicated wine for an aperitif.
