KWV Winemakers Collection Chardonnay

A South African Chardonnay that shows what the Cape can do with the great Burgundy grape – approachable, clearly structured and with a ripe fruit character.

KWV is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in South Africa, founded in Paarl in 1918. The Winemakers Collection is the artisanal heart of the range: wines that directly and without embellishment capture the quality of individual vineyard sites and grape varieties.

In the glass, the Chardonnay displays aromas of yellow peach, buttermelon, and a hint of vanilla – an indication of moderate oak aging. The acidity is softly integrated, the body medium-bodied with a creamy texture on the palate. The finish lingers with ripe citrus notes.

Serving suggestion: Serve well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled chicken, creamy risotto, veal medallions with lemon sauce, or a mature Brie. Also suitable as an uncomplicated aperitif. Drinking window: now until 2027.
