KWV Roodeberg

Wine has been cultivated in South Africa since 1659. In an almost ideal wine-growing climate, the sunny slopes and fertile valleys of the Cape produce wines that are crafted and aged in the tradition of European winemakers and exported worldwide by KWV. For over 50 years, KWV Roodeberg, the legendary red wine from the cellars of the Cape's most famous winery, has been the flagship of South Africa. The grapes from select vineyards in the Western Cape are fermented separately by variety and aged in oak barrels before being blended to create this cuvée. Wine lovers on every continent recognize the perfectly harmonious taste and noble character of this barrel-aged wine as the epitome of the finest wine quality. South Africa's wine guide, John Platter, considers KWV Roodeberg nothing less than "The Institution of Cape Winemaking!" Aged for 14-16 months in French oak, the KWV Roodeberg is full-bodied, rich, and fruit-forward with aromas of red berries and notes of chocolate and vanilla.
