Karia

Karia is a Chardonnay from California that focuses on freshness and clarity. White peach and lemon characterize the 2024 vintage.

Behind it is Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in the Napa Valley. In 1976, the winery caused an international sensation at the "Judgment of Paris" tasting with a Cabernet Sauvignon. Karia is the white side of the house: a Chardonnay that combines Californian sun-ripeness with bright, lively fruit.

In the glass, it appears bright and lively. On the nose, white peach and lemon zest emerge. On the palate, a fresh acidity carries the fruit, the body remains lean yet multi-layered, and the finish is clear and citrus-fresh.

Serve it at 8 to 10 °C. It pairs well with roast chicken, grilled scallops, salmon with lemon butter, or young goat cheese. It also works well as an aperitif on a warm evening.

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars from the Napa Valley wrote wine history in 1976: At the famous Paris blind tasting, a Cabernet Sauvignon from the winery beat the Grand Cru Classés from Bordeaux – a result that permanently changed the wine world. Since then, the wines have stood for the powerful but elegant style of the Stags Leap District, a sub-region with volcanic soils and cool evening winds directly from San Pablo Bay.
