Jung & Knobloch Albiger Castle Hammerstein Bacchus Cabinet (lovely)

Jung & Knobloch Albiger Castle Hammerstein Bacchus Cabinet (lovely)
A Bacchus with character: fruity, herbal, with integrated residual sweetness – not a heavy dessert wine, but a light companion for warm evenings.
The Jung & Knobloch winery is located in Albig, in the heart of Rheinhessen – one of Germany's most productive wine regions, which has also been known for years for its precisely aromatic wines like Bacchus. The Schloß Hammerstein vineyard provides the foundation for this Kabinett style: harvested at full ripeness, but not overly complex.
On the nose, the wine displays windfall fruit, dried fig, and fresh herbs – grass and a hint of hay lend the fruit profile an earthy note. On the palate, it is delicately juicy and lean, with invigorating acidity that balances the residual sweetness. The finish is herbaceous and fruity, and pleasantly short.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with slightly sweet Asian cuisine, goat cheese, fruit salad, or simply on its own as a summer aperitif. Best enjoyed now.
Jung & Knobloch stands for Rheinhessen wines with a distinct style and great drinking pleasure. The winery combines down-to-earth origins with a modern style that is immediately approachable while simultaneously showcasing character.
Typical characteristics include fresh aromas , a vibrant structure, and a harmonious impression in the glass. Whether white wine, red wine, or blend – here you'll find wines that seem uncomplicated, yet impress with subtle details and personality.
Ideal for anyone who likes German wines with clear fruit, regional character and pleasant lightness.
