Jung & Knobloch Albiger Castle Hammerstein Bacchus Cabinet (lovely)

Jung & Knobloch Albiger Castle Hammerstein Bacchus Cabinet (lovely)
A Bacchus with character: fruity, herbal, with integrated residual sweetness – not a heavy dessert wine, but a light companion for warm evenings.
Weingut Jung & Knobloch is based in Albig, in the middle of Rheinhessen – one of Germany's most productive wine regions, which has also been known for years for precise aromatic wines like Bacchus. The Schloß Hammerstein vineyard provides the basis for this Kabinett style: harvested ripe, but not overloaded.
On the nose, the wine shows windfall fruit, dried fig, and fresh herbs – grass and a hint of hay give the fruit profile an earthy note. In the mouth, finely juicy, slender, with invigorating acidity that keeps the residual sweetness in balance. The finale is herbal-fruity and fades away pleasantly short.
Tasting & Serving: Well-chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs with Asian cuisine with light sweetness, goat cheese, fruit salad, or simply enjoyed on its own as an aperitif in summer.
