The Gemma Rubia is a quality Lambrusco with a controlled designation of origin from a small growing area in the province of Emilia. Lambrusco is also available as a wine without a designation of origin and with added carbon dioxide as a popular draft wine. However, Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro owes its carbonation to natural fermentation.
Dark violet color, medium acidity, moderate sweetness, deep cherry, raspberry, and mint notes.
Great with Thai garlic beef or lovely with pasta in an arrabbiata sauce.
