Gassier Côtes du Rhône

Gassier Côtes du Rhône
A southern French red wine with substance: dark-fruited, spicy, and velvety in the mouth — the ideal companion for rustic autumn cuisine.
Michel Gassier manages his vineyards around Nîmes in the western Rhône delta. The region combines a Mediterranean climate with loamy-calcareous soils — a combination that produces red wines with natural ripeness and structure. Gassier stands for artisanal, careful vinification in one of the most dynamic parts of the southern Rhône.
Deep dark red in the glass. The nose opens with blackberry and black cherry, plus nuances of dark chocolate and tobacco. On the palate, the wine feels full and velvety; the fruit carries it through the finish, which receives a subtly peppery-spicy note from the Syrah component. The barrique aging gives the wine smoothness without masking the fruit.
- Food: Leg of lamb with rosemary, grilled entrecôte, ratatouille, or mature Manchego

Michel Gassier – he's not just a winemaker who makes wine. He's someone who listens. Listens to what the earth wants to tell him.
In Vauvert, in the south of France, not far from the Camargue, Michel Gassier works with a terroir he doesn't want to dominate, but to understand. Regenerative agriculture, reforestation, living soils – for him, not a trend, but a philosophy. The wine should sound like a score composed by nature. And him? A conductor, not a composer.
What goes into the glass carries this spirit: vibrant, authentic, with depth.
