Escarpment Pinot Noir

New Zealand and Pinot Noir – a combination that has been attracting attention for years. The Escarpment Pinot Noir shows why: dark cherry and blackberry, a vibrant herbal note, and a hint of plum in the background. The connection to classic Burgundy is palpable, without this wine imitating it.

New Zealand has established itself as one of the most interesting destinations for Pinot Noir worldwide. The cool, maritime climate forces slow ripening – exactly what this delicate grape variety needs: a vibrant acid structure without being harsh. Gently ripe tannins give the wine texture and approachability without being restrictive. Produced in a dry style, it is never austere or lean.

In the glass, it displays sour cherry, blackberry, and a hint of plum, accompanied by delicate herbal spice and a long, fresh finish. Serving temperature: 14–16 °C. Pairs well with duck breast with red cabbage, rack of lamb, or mature goat cheese – and surprisingly good with grilled salmon.
