El Ron Prohibido Reserva 22 years
Prohibido Reserva 22 is a Mexican ultra-premium rum produced using the Solera method. The 22 finest available American oak barrels are selected to create a unique and refined blend. Some barrels are filled with pecan and almond shells, as well as peaches from the Mexican state of Zacatecas; the others contain guarapo. Guarapo is the juice extracted from the sugarcane during the milling process immediately after harvesting and forms the basis of Ron Reserva 22. Color: Golden amber with light nuances and ochre highlights. Nose: Aromatic notes of sugarcane syrup, vanilla, peach, cocoa, caramel, pecan, almond, anise, cinnamon, cloves, and wood, accompanied by smoky notes. Palate: Peach, vanilla, nuts, clove, sugarcane syrup, caramel, almond, pecans, and mint combined with wood and smoky tobacco notes, as well as a hint of caramel.
