Reserve
A classic Rioja Reserva that shows what Tempranillo can become with sufficient time in wood and bottle: structured, warm and yet surprisingly approachable.
Bodega El Meson is located in Rioja, one of Spain's most traditional red wine regions. The Reserva adheres to the strict requirements of the Rioja Denominación de Origen: 16 months of aging in barriques , followed by 36 months of bottle aging—significantly more than the legal minimum. This time leaves its mark on the glass.
Deep, dark red, almost opaque. On the nose, plum, dark cherry, and a hint of dark chocolate, underpinned by vanilla and subtle toasty notes from the oak aging. On the palate, soft and full-bodied, with ripe tannins that have completely smoothed out. The finish is warm and lingering.
Pairs well with lamb loin with rosemary potatoes, grilled chorizo, or a robust Manchego cheese. Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Ready to drink now, but will keep until 2028.

The Spanish winery Bodega El Meson is located in the renowned Rioja region, specifically in the La Rioja Alavesa area. The winery's vineyards lie near the Ebro River and are characterized by calcareous and clay soils. The closer one gets to the river, the more the soils consist of alluvial deposits and gravel. The Atlantic climate is characterized by fresh mountain air and abundant sunshine, resulting in warm days and cool nights, providing optimal conditions. Bodega El Meson cultivates grape varieties such as Granacha, Tempranillo, and Viura for its wines.
