A rosé with substance: The prestige cuvée from Domaine de Montrose represents the highest standards of the house – structured, aromatically dense, far removed from a pale summer wine.
The winery cultivates vineyards on volcanic soils in the Languedoc – a terroir that imparts mineral depth and vibrancy to the wines. Part of the cuvée ferments and matures directly in barriques , giving the rosé an unusual creaminess and richness rarely found in this color.
In the glass, the Prestige Rosé displays ripe citrus fruit – grapefruit, a hint of blood orange – combined with floral notes and a spicy undertone from barrel aging. The palate is juicy, the acidity present without being sharp, the finish long and slightly smoky.
Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled octopus, ratatouille, or a goat cheese salad with herbs de Provence. Also excellent as a standalone aperitif.

The roots of Domaine de Montrose date back to the 16th century and are linked to a rich history. Since 1701, the family crest of the three lizards has adorned all Montrose bottles, symbolizing family ownership and heritage. Today, the winery is managed with great dedication by Bernard and Olivier Coste. The vineyards are located near the charming small town of Pézenas and are inspired by the family's maxim, which comes from the poet Sappho: "What is beautiful is good. And who is good will soon be beautiful." This inspiring maxim is translated by father and son into their rosé, white, and red wines.
