Domaine de Chevalier Blanc

A white Pessac-Léognan that shows why the appellation has long been synonymous with world-class white wine for connoisseurs: dense structure, lively acidity, enormous aging potential.

Domaine de Chevalier lies in the heart of Pessac-Léognan, south of Bordeaux, nestled within an ancient pine forest. The estate has been owned by the Bernard family since 1983, who continue to run it at the highest level. Their white wine – a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon – is aged in barriques and is among the longest-lived dry white wines in France.

In the glass, the 2019 vintage displays aromas of citrus oil, gooseberry, and ripe stone fruit, along with floral notes and a fine, creamy depth. The texture is silky and layered, the mouthfeel full-bodied without heaviness. The acidity is precise and chalky, giving the wine tension and freshness without being sharp. The finish is long and mineral, with a subtle hint of white peach.
