Côte de Beaune Blanc second wine Clos des AC 0.75L

A white wine from the heart of the Côte de Beaune, where Chardonnay finds one of the most elegant expressions of the variety on calcareous soil. Joseph Drouhin, one of the most well-known Burgundy négociant houses based in Beaune, has maintained close relationships with the best sites in the region for over 150 years and stands for careful vinification with respect for the terroir.

In the glass, the wine shows a clear gold color. On the nose, it opens with honey, lemongrass, and a hint of almond — typical for ripe Burgundy Chardonnay from a lime-based subsoil. On the palate, it appears dense without being heavy, with lively acidity that provides freshness and structure in equal measure. The finish brings a fine nutty note that lingers.

Best served at 11–13 °C — with sweetbreads, a creamy risotto with Parmesan, or grilled turbot with beurre blanc. It also makes a good figure with aged Comté.
