Cognac Âge du Fruit 41% Vol. Carafe in a wooden box, min. 10 years cask maturation 0.7L

The Âge du Fruit from Cognac Léopold Gourmel is a cognac with distinct fruitiness and nuttiness. It is bottled at 41% ABV and matures for at least ten years in the cask. You get it in a carafe in a wooden box, which also makes it a gift with weight.

Gourmel is a cognac house from France known for its concept of Âges: each bottling stands for its own field of aromas. With the Âge du Fruit, the focus, as the name suggests, is on fruit. It shows light gold in the glass. On the nose, delicate, slightly tart notes meet fresh almond. On the palate, it is creamy and full, spreads throughout the entire mouth, and carries intense notes of dried and citrus fruits into the long finish. The structure is clear; in the background, a quiet power works that gives it length.

Drink it neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. As an accompaniment, it fits after a good white wine, with light meat and noble fish. It also goes well with Scandinavian and Asian cuisine, for example with cured salmon or fine fish dishes.
