Château Saint-Pierre

Château Saint-Pierre comes from Saint-Julien, one of the most renowned appellations in the Médoc, and has been one of the Quatrièmes Crus Classés since the Bordeaux Classification of 1855. The estate cultivates its vineyards on the characteristic pebble gravel soil that gives Saint-Julien its typical structure and depth.

In the glass, it shows a dense ruby red. On the nose, the wine opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, and a hint of tobacco, underscored by fine spicy notes. On the palate, the Cabernet Sauvignon dominance contributes to a firm tannin structure, which is supported by a lively acidity. The finish is long, with an aftertaste of cedar wood and dark berries.

Best served at 17–18 °C — with braised saddle of lamb, entrecôte with herb butter, or a hearty raclette from the Savoy highlands.
