Chateau Pouget Margaux Grand Cru Classe

Classic Margaux character from one of the oldest appellations in the Bordeaux region — structured, spicy, with the typical silky feel on the palate that makes this appellation famous.

Château Pouget is one of the historic Quatrièmes Crus Classés from the 1855 classification and is located in the heart of Margaux. The winery shares its cellar and operations with the neighboring Boyd-Cantenac — the grapes are vinified separately but benefit from decades of artisanal experience in the appellation.

In the glass, deep ruby red. The nose shows blackcurrant, plum, and violets, underpinned by tobacco and a hint of toasted oak from the 12 to 18-month barrique aging. On the palate, full body with balanced, ripe tannins — not a hard structure, but a velvety texture that carries the long, spicy finish.

Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs with braised beef fillet, leg of lamb with herbs, or strong goat cheese.
