Château Pape Clement Château Pape-Clement rouge

Château Pape Clément Rouge is a classic Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé with character, depth, and the typical "Bordeaux weight"—without being heavy. It comes from one of the oldest and most iconic vineyards in the Graves region, just south of Bordeaux, on gravelly soils rich in pebbles and cohesive earth, which provide balance and mineral depth.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby garnet with violet-black reflections, accompanied by a concentrated bouquet of blackcurrants, blackberries, cassis, a touch of dark chocolate, cedar, tobacco, and a subtle toasty note from the barrique. The nose is rich, complex, and possesses a light, characteristic roasted aroma typical of the Pessac style.

On the palate, Château Pape Clément is crisply structured, with dense fruit, powerful yet silky tannins, and a long, mineral note that lingers through to the finish. At around 13.5–14.5% ABV and best served at 16–18°C, it pairs well with premium roast beef or lamb, game dishes, mature cheeses, or a special evening where a true Bordeaux Grand Cru takes center stage.
