Chateau Lynch-Bages 6-bottle wooden case
Lynch-Bages is one of the most famous names in the Médoc — a Fifth Growth from Pauillac that has been performing far above its classification for decades. The Château is located on one of the best gravel plateaus in the appellation, right next to the First Growths, and is managed by the Cazes family with a clear focus on expressiveness and accessibility.
The 2019 vintage shows what defines a mature Pauillac: cassis and dark cherry in the foreground, followed by cedar wood, dried herbs, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it presents itself with a dense, well-integrated tannin structure and a long, spicy finesse. Not an edgy wine — rather one of the more accessible vintages of the Château, without losing any depth.
Best served at 17–18 °C, ideally decanted one hour before drinking. Pairs excellently with rack of lamb with rosemary, entrecôte with herb butter, or mature Comté.
