Château le Coteau Margaux AOC

Château Le Coteau is one of the last family-run wineries in the prestigious Margaux appellation. Eric Léglise carries on his ancestors' legacy here with a steady hand and deep respect for the terroir. This Cabernet Sauvignon perfectly embodies what the Left Bank of Bordeaux is world-renowned for: density paired with cool finesse.

In the glass, a classic Margaux profile unfolds. Clear aromas of blackcurrant and ripe blackberry mingle with delicate notes of graphite and damp forest floor. On the palate, the red wine presents itself with a precise acidity and firm, yet finely polished tannins. The finish is long, dry, and carried by a subtle mineral spice that reflects its origin in the region's gravelly soils.

A characterful Bordeaux demands robust companions on the plate. Serve this wine with pink-roasted beef fillet, rosemary-roasted rack of lamb, or mature hard cheeses such as an aged Mimolette. For optimal aroma development, a serving temperature of 16 to 18 °C is recommended. If you open the wine while it is still young, decant it for one to two hours before serving.

Château Le Coteau

Do you know what makes one of the last family-run estates in the famous Margaux region so special? It's Château Le Coteau .

For six generations, the Léglise family has cultivated their 12 hectares of vineyards – without herbicides or insecticides. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes grow in the gravelly soils. The result: a full-bodied, velvety wine with notes of cassis and pepper. A true Margaux tradition!
