The nose is open and very expressive. Swirling the glass reveals the aromatic complexity of Château Lascombe, with its abundance of ripe black fruits. Subtle oak notes harmoniously round off this explosion of fruit flavors. The first sip is, simply put, delicious, followed by another invasion of fruit on the palate. The wine is precise, concentrated, opulent, and vibrant. The tannins are soft and silky. The oak blends discreetly into a beautifully fleshy mouthfeel, while the finish is exceptionally long. Château Lascombes – a name synonymous with elegance in Margaux for centuries. Since 2022, the Lawrence family has been writing a new chapter: a return to its roots, to the historic terroir of the 1855 classification.

Winemaker and CEO Axel Heinz focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon from gravelly soils – the classic Margaux style that combines charm and depth. An exciting discovery: Deep blue clay veins on the La Côte inspired a new Merlot with its own distinct character. Lascombes impressively demonstrates just how vibrant Bordeaux can be.
