Château Haut-Brion Blanc 1er Cru Classé AC Pessac-Léognan 0.75L
Château Haut-Brion Blanc is one of the rarest and most coveted white wines in the world — only a few thousand bottles of this cuvée from the heart of Pessac-Léognan are produced annually.
The winery is the only one that holds the status of a 1er Cru Classé for both red and white wine. The vines stand on gravelly soils on the outskirts of Bordeaux, where the mild climate and unique soil composition lay the foundation for exceptional white wines. Sémillon forms the basis of the cuvée and gives the wine its characteristic texture and depth.
In the glass, it shows a wine of impressive complexity: aromas of white peach, beeswax, and toasted hazelnuts, underpinned by a fine mineral line reminiscent of fresh pebbles. The palate is dense and creamy, the acidity precisely embedded, the finish long and spicy with a hint of ginger and citrus zest.
Best served at 12–14 °C — with lobster with butter sauce, turbot, or an aged Comté. Those who drink it pure experience one of the style-defining white wines of Bordeaux.
