Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild Moulin de Duhart Magnum

Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild Moulin de Duhart Magnum
The Moulin de Duhart Magnum from Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild is the approachable, fruit-driven side of this great Pauillac wine – even rounder and more relaxed in the magnum. It displays a clear, yet not heavy, Bordeaux structure, with ripe berries, a touch of cassis, and a subtle, spicy note in the background.
On the palate, it is lively and juicy, with well-integrated tannins and a clear, fruity character that lingers long on the finish. The magnum gives it more elegance and time to smooth out its edges without losing the typical power of Duhart-Milon.
It pairs perfectly with grilled beef, lamb, steaks, and hearty braised dishes, but also with a long evening with friends when a good, characterful red Bordeaux is desired. Served at 16–18 °C, it reveals itself as a great Bordeaux with a charming, approachable personality.
Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild
Château Duhart-Milon is located in the heart of Pauillac – right next to the legendary Château Lafite Rothschild, to whose family it has belonged since 1962. This proximity is no coincidence, but rather a deliberate choice: the same meticulous care, the same pursuit of precision, the same love for the Médoc.
As the only Quatrième Grand Cru Classé owned by the Rothschilds, Duhart-Milon combines classic Pauillac power with an elegant, almost understated style. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grow here on typical gravel and clay soils – the result is wines with depth, dark fruit, and a long, smooth finish. Wines that deserve – and reward – time.
