Château Duhart-Milon

The Duhart-Milon 2021 is a classic Pauillac: dense, structured, with the long breath of a wine that needs time – and rewards those who give it.

Château Duhart-Milon has been owned by the Rothschild family since 1962 and is located right next to the famous Lafite. The vines grow on typical Pauillac soils: deep gravel over limestone, which retains heat and forces the roots to dig deep. The result is wines with backbone and minerality – it's no coincidence that Duhart-Milon was classified as a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé in 1855.

In the glass, the 2021 vintage displays aromas of blackcurrant and plum, underpinned by cedarwood and a hint of graphite. The tannins are present but fine-grained – not heavy, but structured. The finish is long, with a subtle spiciness typical of the appellation.
