Château Clinet AOC Pomerol

Château Clinet is one of the renowned addresses in Pomerol and stands for a Merlot that combines depth and power with elegance. This dry red wine shows how dense and yet fine a Bordeaux from the right bank can be.

The vines grow on sand-covered clay soils, a terroir that gives the winery great potential. Old, carefully maintained vines and organic farming form the foundation, complemented by sensitive cellar work. Pomerol is the home of Merlot: clay soils traditionally give the wines fullness and a round, velvety structure.

In the glass, you can expect classic Merlot aromatics, such as ripe dark berries and plum, carried by a powerful, deep body. The tannins are usually soft and finely integrated, the finish is persistent. We deliberately mention only what is typical for the grape variety and origin.

Serve at 16 to 18 °C, preferably decanted. It pairs with entrecôte, rack of lamb with a herb crust, braised beef, or aged hard cheese, and it makes a festive evening at the table special.
