Château Clinet By Clinet

Château Clinet By Clinet
By Clinet is the second wine of Château Clinet – more accessible in style, but clear in its origin: Pomerol, right bank, dominated by Merlot on clay soils.
Château Clinet is one of the most renowned addresses in Pomerol. The winery is located on one of the highest points of the plateau, with deep clay and gravel soils that give the Merlot a fleshy structure and dark fruit fullness. By Clinet is made from younger vines and batches that do not go into the Grand Vin – typical for Bordeaux second wines that reflect the house style without demanding the price of the first wine.
In the glass, it shows aromas of blueberry, dark cherry, and blackcurrant, underscored by a hint of violets and cedar wood. The tannins are ripe and round, the mouthfeel velvety with a medium body. The finish is warm, with persistent dark fruit.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with braised beef, duck legs with lentils, or mature Camembert.
