Château Bonalgue 6-bottle wooden case

A Pomerol that combines fullness and refinement: Château Bonalgue stands for the soft, extroverted side of the appellation. The Merlot comes to meet you without detours, fleshy and sensual, with a finer character that does not displace the opulence.

Pomerol is located on the right bank in the Bordeaux region, where Merlot plays the leading role. Bonalgue is considered one of the most consistent estates in the appellation and delivers this style year after year. With the 6-bottle set, you immediately lay in a small supply for several evenings.

In the glass, plum jam, kirsch, licorice, and mocha appear. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with juicy fruit, melting tannins, and a round profile.

Serve it at 16–18 °C with duck breast, braised lamb rack, or beef cheek in red wine sauce. The soft tannin structure also pairs well with aged hard cheese. Half an hour in the decanter opens up the dark fruit aromas.
