Chardonnay Reserve

Chardonnay Reserve from Weingut Wittmann is a high-quality white wine from Rheinhessen, produced by the renowned Wittmann winery in Westhofen. The wine is made exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the calcareous and loamy Westhofen vineyards, which include the Grand Cru vineyard Kirchspiel.

In the glass, it displays a vibrant straw yellow with golden reflections. The nose is rich and complex, with aromas of yellow fruits (apple, pear, peach), green tea, subtle herbs, vanilla, almond, and fine, spicy oak notes from the aging process. On the palate, the Chardonnay Reserve is full-bodied, creamy yet refined, with clearly structured but silky acidity, delicate minerality, and a long, complex, and elegant finish.

The wine matures in traditional wooden casks (sometimes barriques) and often for several months on the lees, resulting in a smooth, creamy texture and additional flavor. It is ideally served at 11–12 °C and pairs well with fish in cream sauce, creamy asparagus, roast chicken or goose, and mild cheeses. With an alcohol content of around 13% ABV, it has good aging potential for several years.
