Westhofen Morstein Riesling GG

The pure south-facing slope extends up to a high plateau at 280 meters above sea level and is the oldest single vineyard mentioned in Westhofen (1282). In the central part of the slope, between 180 and 240 meters above sea level, lies the VDP.GROSSE LAGE MORSTEIN vineyard with a gradient of 20%. Here, heavy clay marl soils with limestone inclusions in the upper layer are found. The subsoil is dominated by water-bearing limestone bedrock, which guarantees an optimal supply of nutrients and minerals.
