Cederberg Chenin Blanc WO

Cederberg Chenin Blanc WO
Chenin Blanc from the Cederberg – one of the most remote and highest-altitude wine regions in South Africa. Here, at over 1000 meters, cool nights provide the acidity that this grape variety so rarely displays on its home continent.
The Cederberg wine estate is located in the Cederberg Mountains of the Western Cape province, about 200 kilometers north of Cape Town. The Nieuwoudt family has cultivated the vineyards for generations – far removed from the tourist routes of the Stellenbosch region. The extreme altitude and the continental climate fundamentally shape the style of the wines.
In the glass, the Chenin Blanc displays aromas of green melon, Granny Smith apple, and pear, along with passion fruit and a hint of fresh herbs. On the palate, it offers lively acidity with a medium body, clean fruit, and a dry, refreshing finish.
