Castillo de Almansa Crianza

The grapes for the Castillo de Almansa Crianza grow on vines between 20 and 40 years old, planted in nutrient-poor, calcareous, low-rainfall soils at altitudes of 700 to 800 meters. After fermentation, the wine is aged for six months in American oak barrels. The Castillo de Almansa Crianza is medium-bodied, very flavorful, and vibrant. Aromas of plum and raisin, along with a hint of black pepper, define its flavor profile, complemented by a fine acidity and an elegant, velvety, and well-balanced character. Bodegas Piqueras

Bodegas Piqueras – a name synonymous with consistency and passion. For generations, this family winery has dedicated itself to what makes the Almansa region in southeastern Spain so special: powerful red wines, shaped by hot summers, barren soils, and the Garnacha Tintorera grape – a variety that reveals its most beautiful side here. Piqueras wines aren't flashy showmen. They tell their story quietly, yet compellingly: dark berries, warm earth, a hint of vanilla. And beneath it all lies a depth that only arises when someone truly knows what they're doing – with heart and soul. Approachable, honest, full of character. A true treasure.
