Cabernet Franc Rosé dry III Tradition

A rosé that is more than just a summer drink: The Cabernet Franc Rosé Tradition from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett shows what the Palatinate can do with this grape variety — structured, dry, with real character.

The Bergdolt-Reif & Nett winery is one of the reliable addresses in the Palatinate. The family cultivates vineyards around Duttweiler and Ruppertsberg, where deep soils of limestone and loam give the vines substance. Cabernet Franc is not a passing trend here, but a consciously cultivated variety — the Tradition line stands for artisanal care without detours.

In the glass, the wine glows in a light salmon pink. The nose shows raspberry, red currant, and a fine hint of bell pepper — the typical varietal characteristic of Cabernet Franc. Dry and taut on the palate, with lively acidity and a pleasantly spicy finish. Not a heavy, sweet rosé, but a wine with bite and length.

Served well-chilled at 10–12 °C, it accompanies grilled salmon, goat cheese salad, or tomato tart. It also cuts a fine figure as an aperitif on warm evenings.
