Boillot Henri Volnay Caillerets

Henri Boillot's Volnay Caillerets is one of the classic addresses of the Côte de Beaune: a Premier Cru vineyard that stands for silky tannins and aromatic precision – both of which can be found in the glass.

Henri Boillot is a family-run estate in Volnay, cultivating its parcels in the most prestigious vineyards of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The Caillerets vineyard is considered one of Volnay's finest Premier Cru sites – calcareous soils at mid-slope elevation that impart structure and minerality to the Pinot Noir without sacrificing the typical Volnay elegance.

The nose reveals sour cherry, fresh strawberry, and a hint of violet, underpinned by a delicate minerality. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and lively acidity – the finish has a salty, almost chalky note characteristic of the vineyard site.

Serving suggestion: Store now with some air or until 2030+. Serving temperature 16–17 °C. Pairs well with duck breast with Pinot jus, Coq au Vin or mature Époisses.
