Blaufränkisch Göttlesbrunn
The Blaufränkisch Göttlesbrunn from Walter Glatzer is an elegant village wine from Carnuntum in Lower Austria – one of Austria's most exciting red wine regions. The grapes come from the top Göttlesbrunn vineyards Haidacker and Stuhlwerker , where loamy soils and the Pannonian climate ensure optimal ripeness and varietal depth.
In the glass, it shines with an intense garnet red color and a violet rim . The nose is characteristically varietal and expressive, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, blueberry, and cassis , accompanied by notes of licorice, cedar, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is powerful, supple, and structured, with ripe, velvety tannins, lively acidity, and a long, mineral-spiced finish.
With 13.5% alcohol by volume , organic cultivation and 14 months of barrel aging, it is an ideal accompaniment to duck, goose, game and mature cheese – ideal at 16–18 °C .
