Black Stallion Transcendent

A Californian Cabernet Sauvignon with the weight and structure for which Napa Valley is known – accessible, but with a real backbone.

Black Stallion belongs to Delicato Family Wines, one of California's largest family wineries with roots in the Central Valley viticultural tradition since 1924. The winery in Oakville, Napa Valley, is located in the heart of the valley – between Rutherford to the north and Mt. Veeder to the west, on alluvial soils that are predestined for full, structured red wines. "Transcendent" stands for the reserve-like top quality of the house in the Black Stallion hierarchy.

A deep ruby red appears in the glass. On the nose, black currant and blackberry, supplemented by vanilla and cedar wood from the barrique aging. On the palate, a round entry, soft, velvety tannins, subtle roasted aromas in the middle, and a long, slightly spicy finish with a cocoa note.
