Barolo DOCG 2019

A Barolo that combines the classic strength of Piedmont with astonishing elegance — transparent ruby red in the glass, fine-limbed in structure, and yet with the depth one expects from Nebbiolo from the best sites.

Arnaldo Rivera sources the grapes for this Barolo DOCG from eleven municipalities in the growing area — an approach that unites the diversity of the hilly locations around La Morra, Barolo, and Castiglione Falletto in one wine. 100% Nebbiolo, as required by law for Barolo, and as this grape variety shows best: as an unmistakable expression of Piedmont.

On the nose, ethereal herbs, red berry compote, and a hint of fresh forest floor. On the palate, fine-grained, well-integrated tannin appears — no hard edge, no pressure, but a balanced acidity structure with juiciness and length. The finish is spicy and persistent.

Pairs with roasted duck breast, braised venison leg, or strong, aged hard cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino Stagionato. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C — then the wine unfolds its full aromatic breadth.
