Astrolabe Tinto Reserva Dao DOC
The Astrolabium Tinto Reserva comes from the Dão – one of Portugal's most structured red wine regions, nestled between granite mountains and schist terraces in the heart of the country. The region is known for tannic, age-worthy red wines with a distinct mineral character.
On the nose, the wine displays blackberry and ripe cherry , underpinned by clove and a hint of cedar – typical of Reserva aging in oak barrels. On the palate, it is juicy, with a rounded body and well-integrated tannins. The finish is warm and lingering, with a slightly spicy note.
- Food: Grilled lamb or pork belly, pasta with ragù, aged Queijo Serra da Estrela or hearty tapas
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Tip: Decant one hour before drinking – this opens up the fruit and smooths out the tannins.
