Anthony Rupert Syrah

The Anthonij Rupert winery is located in the heart of the Franschhoek Valley, one of South Africa's most prestigious wine regions. The estate was founded in honor of Anthonij Rupert, a passionate wine connoisseur and conservationist. The vineyards benefit from cool nights at the foot of the Groot Drakenstein Mountains—a climate that allows the grapes time to develop aromatic depth without sacrificing freshness.

In the glass, the Syrah displays a deep ruby ​​red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with aromas of dark cherries, blackberry, and blueberry, underpinned by notes of black pepper, olives, and a hint of smoked meat—typical of a Syrah with a cool origin. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with firm yet well-integrated tannins, lively acidity, and a long, spicy-mineral finish.
