Amalaya de Colomé Valle Calchaquí

Amalaya de Colomé Valle Calchaquí
Salta is located in northwestern Argentina, and the vineyards of Bodega Colomé are among the highest in the world—reaching up to 3,111 meters. This extreme altitude brings intense UV radiation, cool nights, and a long growing season. The result is grapes with deep color, ripe fruit, and vibrant acidity.
Amalaya is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, and the local rarity Bonarda. After aging in barriques, it displays a deep ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose is dominated by dark blackberry, plum, and a hint of dried herbs—typical of high-altitude Malbec from the Calchaquí Valley. On the palate, it offers a juicy texture, grippy but not harsh tannins, and a spicy finish with notes of black pepper and cedar.
