Aglio e Basilico - Linguine with garlic + basil

These linguine from Tuscany combine three classic ingredients: durum wheat semolina, wheat germ, and garlic and basil powder. Made without preservatives or artificial colors, and using traditional methods, the result is a pasta with a distinct identity.

The quality of the durum wheat semolina becomes apparent in the cooking pot: the linguine retains its firm texture, absorbs sauce well, and already carries the garlic and basil aroma within. It's not overpowering, but rather a subtle background flavor that complements the sauce without overpowering it.

They are best served with aglio e olio e peperoncino — then you need little more than good olive oil and chili. A fresh basil pesto or light vegetable sauces also go well. Pair it with a dry Vermentino or a light Chianti Classico.
