The Chardonnay from this region is among the best in the country: expressive, with beautiful minerality and perfect balance. Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Colombard also thrive here, displaying vibrant freshness. The warm, dry climate and cool night temperatures ensure concentrated aromas and elegance. In addition to superb white wines, powerful red wines from Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are also produced here, as well as high-quality sparkling wines made using the traditional method.
