Château Haut-Bages Libéral lies in the heart of Pauillac , an appellation renowned for its power and tannic structure. What distinguishes this Fifth Growth from its neighbors lies literally in the soil: an unusually high limestone content imparts a cool, almost salty minerality rarely found in Pauillac.
The wines follow the classic Médoc profile—dark fruit, firm tannins, long finish—but the texture is finer, almost more delicate than expected.
