La Rocaille Côtes du Rhône AOC

Cellier des Princes –
A cooperative with a sense of purpose from the Rhône

Cellier des Princes is one of the most traditional winegrowers' cooperatives in the southern Rhône Valley – founded over 180 years ago, today an association of more than 180 families who cultivate their vineyards around Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the Côtes du Rhône. What unites them is not only the location, but a shared conviction: wine is made in the vineyard, not in the cellar.

Sustainability here is not a marketing slogan, but a daily practice. On the winery's roof, 1,100 square meters of photovoltaic panels generate over 200 megawatt hours of electricity per year – equivalent to a CO₂ saving of 142 tons. This is complemented by consistent waste sorting, recyclable packaging, and responsible water management in a region where drought is not uncommon.

What distinguishes Cellier des Princes is the combination of economic stability for the winegrowing families and a clear commitment to quality in the glass. The wines reflect the Mediterranean terroir: robust, sun-ripened, with the typical spiciness of the Grenache-dominated Southern Rhône. Anyone familiar with the region will recognize it in the first sip.
