Alpha Estate is located in the highlands of Amyndeon , one of the coolest wine regions in Greece, at an altitude of over 650 meters, near the Macedonian border. The continental climate, with warm days and cool nights, ensures slow ripening, pronounced aromatics, and natural acidity – characteristics not necessarily expected in Greece.

Founded by Angelos Iatridis and Makis Mavridis, the winery works with consistent hand-harvesting and a clear focus on terroir expression. Alongside indigenous varieties like Xinomavro, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are grown here – grape varieties that develop a freshness and structure at this altitude that clearly distinguishes them from those grown in warmer regions.
