Whispering Angel Rosé

Whispering Angel Rosé
Whispering Angel is one of the most famous rosés of Provence – and for good reason: Château d'Esclans, founded in 2006 by Sacha Lichine in the heart of the Côtes de Provence appellation, has significantly shaped the modern Provence rosé with this wine. The vineyards around La Motte primarily yield Grenache, complemented by Rolle (Vermentino) and Cinsault.
A pale salmon pink in the glass. On the nose, fresh strawberry, white peach skin, and rose petals – delicate and unobtrusive. On the palate, a slightly creamy texture, lively acidity, and a mineral note on the finish. Deliberately aged without barriques to ensure the fruit remains pure and unadulterated.
Serving temperature 8–10 °C. Best enjoyed young – the current vintage is at its peak. Pairs well with grilled sea bass with fennel, burrata with tomatoes, goat cheese, or a charcuterie board. Also a reliable choice as an aperitif on the terrace.

Château d'Esclans – a castle winery in a state of suspended animation until Sacha Lichine arrived in 2006. The son of Bordeaux legend Alexis Lichine had grand ambitions: to produce the best rosés in the world. With oenologist Patrick Léon at his side, he focused on 80-year-old Grenache vines, calcareous and clay soils, and state-of-the-art cellar technology. The result? Rosé on a new level. Provence as it can be – powerful, elegant, and unmistakable.
