Vinha Maria Premium Vinho Tinto
A powerful red wine from the Portuguese highlands – dark fruit, spicy depth and a finish that lingers.
The Dão region lies on a granite plateau in the heart of Portugal, surrounded by the Serra da Estrela and Serra do Caramulo mountain ranges. The continental climate, with its hot summers and cool nights, ensures slow ripening and pronounced aromatics. Vinha Maria utilizes three of the region's defining red grape varieties: Touriga Nacional as the structural foundation, Alfrocheiro for color and freshness, and Tinta Roriz for body and dark fruit.
Deep ruby red in the glass. The nose reveals blackberry, black plum, and a hint of lavender. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with velvety tannins from barrel aging, complemented by notes of cedar and dark chocolate. The finish is long and spicy.
- Food: Grilled lamb, Leitão (Portuguese suckling pig), entrecôte or hard cheese such as Sercial
